About Lions
Lions are ordinary people who do extraordinary things to help others and support good causes throughout the British Isles. Globally we have more volunteers in more places than any other service club organisation, and love to step forward to volunteer, help others and make things happen.
Wherever you live, work or travel across the British Isles, you are likely to come across members of Lions clubs and the projects we support.
We’d love you to join us.
Local Community Stories
Lions Community Stories champions local community volunteering.
Featuring Lions Tales – a curated collection of positive news pieces – and Get Involved – where Lions members share their personal volunteer stories.
Collect. Donate. Recycle
Lions clubs throughout the British Isles collect and process tens of thousands of unwanted spectacles and hearing aids each year.
Working with partner organisations, glasses and hearing aids are recycled to support the work of eye and hearing clinics around the world.
For more information on collecting and donating glasses and/or hearing aids for reuse or recycling, please email: enquiries@lionsclubs.co.uk
Lions Message in a Bottle
Lions Message in a Bottle is a simple but effective way for people to keep their basic personal and medical details where they can be found in an emergency, on a standard form, and in a common location – the fridge.
The project helps emergency services personnel save valuable time identifying an individual and knowing if they’ve allergies or take special medication.
